Dr. Brendan Carr, today the CEO OF Mount Sinai, one of the largest hospitals in the country, joined the organization in February 2020 where he became the head of the Emergency Department. What timing - a few weeks before the first reported case of Covid-19. Mount Sinai led the charge combatting the virus in the city and the country, and their staffs commitment to our cities denizens saved tens of thousands, at least. With my sincere thanks, respect. He also likes to stop by the bar all his students drink at once a week and buy all their drinks and leave. Dead set legend.

Thanks @adrianazehbrauskas for the invite to share…. I was invited up to Provincetown recently by @twenty_summers to speak with some friends about memory and war. I found myself afterwards, dazed, staring out over the bay, for the first time in as long as I can remember feeling almost safe, free even. “The city squats on my back.
